The start of a new Used Bookstore!

I find myself without a job, so I thought this might be a perfect time to start my bookstore online. I am working on a plan, selling online, local delivery, and tying into it some awesome community involvement ideas.

14 cases of books, plus my own collection, and I think it's time to start doing something with it. There are so few used book stores in this area, that I think this could definitely serve a great purpose. And if I plan it out well then it should be a success!

I am also looking for book donations. So if you know anyone who has books to unload feel free to point them my way!

Fatally Flaky by Diane Mott Davidson

I love this series by Diane Mott Davidson.  Like all series, there are always one or two that don't make me want to jump over the moon, but usually as I finish one I look forward to the next.  I can't wait to dive into this one!

It's been a long summer for Goldy Schulz, who is engaged in planning a wedding reception for Aspen Meadow's nuttiest bridezilla. But then Doc Finn, beloved local physician and the best friend of Goldy's godfather, Jack, is killed when his car tumbles into a ravine. Jack thinks Doc was murdered because of the research he was doing at the local spa—allegations that are confirmed when Jack himself is attacked.
So Goldy adds more work to her plate and dons chef's whites to go undercover at the spa, where coffee is outlawed in favor of smoothies. But if she doesn't find the clever killer on the spa grounds who's watching her every move, catering weddings and cooking low-fat food might just be the death of Goldy Schulz . . .
And enjoy Goldy's delectable recipes, including fatally flaky cookies and nutcase cranberry-apricot bread!

Sounds like a great rainy day read.  And here in Oregon that's exactly what we need right now!  Enjoy!

finished reading: The Deepest Water...

I recently finished reading The Deepest Water by Kate Wilhelm. My mom introduced me to her books last year, and the first one I read I enjoyed but it took me a while to get into. I decided to try a few more and I loved The Deepest Water. It was a well written mystery and although I thought I had it figured out early on, it was still a great read. Well worth checking out! I would sell it but I sent to to my mom!

finished reading: sweet revenge

I am currently reading Sweet Revenge by Diane Mott Davidson. I have read the entire series, in order. It is a series I enjoy, with the exception of a few books in the middle of the series. Since I am towards the end of the series, I'm looking for new authors. Any suggestions?

Dianne's next book is Fatally Flaky and is due April 9, 2009.

Searchable Whereabouts by Tinisha Nicole Johnson

This book was released in February of 2008, and was given the EDC Creations Media Guide 2008 Best Book Award. If you've read it I would love to hear your opinion. I have not had a chance to read it yet, but it's on the list!

are you following? blogger glitch

My thanks for 5 Star Foodie for a good description and solution to the problem:
"Several of my foodie friends contacted me today, saying that I no longer follow their blog. I also noticed quite a few followers have been dropped from my blog as well. It is a glitch in Blogger due to their releasing a new feature. They, without users permission, changed the users from “Public” to “Anonymous”. The “Follow Blog” widget only lists the users that are Public therefore counts of followers have dropped.

Here’s how to fix your own subscriptions. In Dashboard find a button ‘Manage’, click on that and then change any of your subscriptions that say “Anonymous” back to “Public”. Blogger will NOT fix this for you automatically so you have to do it yourselves.

I hope you will find this information useful!"
Enjoy!
